EIGHTH ANNUAL PERFORMATHON
ABOUT THE PERFORMATHON
Students performing will be sharing their talent, dedication and enthusiasm to raise funds for the MTNA Foundation in honor of William Browning, revered Chicago pianist and teacher. Funds raised by the Performathon will be directed to the MTNA Foundation:
Teacher enrichment grants
Community outreach
Local chapter enrichment grants
Collegiate chapter grants
New Performathon Date: Sunday, April 6, 2025
There will be 3 recitals: 2:00, 3:00 and 4:00.

Registration open: February 10, 2025
Registration deadline: Friday, March 31, 2025
Deadline for submitting names of performers: Thursday, April 3, 2025
Performers: Teachers*, students, family members. Pianists, instrumentalists, singers may participate. Music does not need to be memorized.
Music genre: Solo, ensemble, classical, contemporary, jazz, blues, rags, sacred, or showtime. Any music that can be performed well and befits a fundraiser is accepted.
EVENT DETAILS
Students collecting $25 or more will receive a gift.
CASH PRIZES OF $100, $75, $50, $25 FOR STUDENTS WHO RAISE THE MOST MONEY.
Donations, made by cash, Zelle, or check made out to the MTNA Foundation Fund, are tax deductible.
Teachers sign up students for one or more 10-minute slots from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m.. Slots do not need to be consecutive. A slot may be filled by one or more students. List of repertoire is not required to register. Priority of selected time is determined by your registration date.
*Teachers do NOT need to attend for their student to participate. Students do NOT have to contribute to perform.

Reserve Performathon time blocks via the CAMTA Member Portal.
Instructions for CAMTA Members
STEP 1: TEACHERS REQUEST TIME BLOCKS
Log in to your Member Portal account.
From the sidebar, click Events, then Active Events.
Select the 2025 Browning Performathon.
There are five 10-minute time blocks available for each recital. Time blocks are first come, first served.
Type in the number of 10-minute time blocks you would like to reserve for each recital.
Click the Save Reservations button to save your information.
You can edit your number of time block requests at any time during the registration period by either adding more time slots (if available) or reducing the number you originally requested (which will release the time slots and make them available to other people).
After the registration deadline, Browning Performathon coordinator, Cynthia Papierniak, will contact you to obtain performer information and assemble the recital programs. The deadline for submitting names of performers is Thursday, April 3, 2025.
STEP 2: DOWNLOAD REQUIRED FORMS
Teachers should then download and distribute the following required forms:
INSTRUCTIONS FOR NON-MEMBERS
Teachers who are not members of CAMTA must use the new Member Portal to register for the Browning Performathon.
Any non-member who previously created a portal account for other CAMTA events can simply login and request time blocks.
If you have not previously created a Member Portal Account, fill out the form to request a non-member account. You will receive an email from portal@camta.org with instructions on how to get your account set up. Then follow the same instructions listed above to register students.
Member portal accounts will be allocated to teachers only (not parents).
